John is a venture partner with Odin and is active in the day-to-day management of the firm.  John is also currently the managing partner of Ideation Partners, an investment management and consulting business focused on early and growth stage ventures.  Prior to Odin, John spent seven years assisting in the management of a Midwest-based early-stage venture capital fund, where he worked hands-on with a variety of portfolio companies involved in enterprise software, telecom services, high-tech manufacturing and health care services. He also previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for an early stage software company.  In addition to earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, John holds an M.B.A. in management and strategy from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
